Experience the wonders of Oman as you traverse the countryside, visiting both the natural and man-made marvels to be seen, on this seven-day tour of Oman. You get an opportunity to visit some of the most popular places to visit in Oman including exploring the sights of desert, Wadis, forts and castles.
Muscat – Mussanah – Nizwa – Muscat – Wahiba – Muscat
Day 1: Muscat
Arrive and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Muscat (B)
This morning, you will go for a half-day tour of Muscat, you will drive through the elegant residential Shatti Al Qurum Area. Continue for a photo stop of the magnificent Al Alam Palace, the residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Visit the Bait Al Baranda a new interactive museum. Also, stop at the colourful Muttrah Souq. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 3: Muscat – Mussanah (B/D)
Morning tour the Grand Mosque. Later proceed to the Seeb Fish Souq located by the seaside. Drive through the date palms and stop at the Nakhl Springs, visit the Al Nakhl Fort perched on a rocky outcrop. Continue your drive to Mussanah.
Day 4: Mussanah – Nizwa (B)
This morning depart for Nizwa visiting en route the Amouage Perfumery. Now, in its 26th year, the House of Amouage creates some of the most expensive perfumes in the world for both men and women. On arrival in Nizwa, visit the famous Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century. Explore the village and the neighbouring Souq.
Day 5: Nizwa – Muscat (B)
Drive to Muscat via Jabrin en route stopping at the Bahla Fort which has been declared as a World Heritage site. Later proceed to the charming Al Hamra village positioned on the slopes of the mountains. Visit the Bait Safah museum and the ruins of a village at Tanuf before driving to Muscat
Day 6: Muscat – Wahiba Sands – Muscat (B/L)
Depart for Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 metres are also host to a variety of flora and fauna. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographers delight. Visit a Bedouin house in this wilderness and enjoy your picnic lunch before returning to Muscat.
Day 7: Muscat (B)
Transfer to the airport.
Includes: Accommodation for 6 nights and meals as indicated. All local tours with an English speaking guide and transport using aircon car.
