Dubrovnik – Trogir – Split - Plitvice – Zagreb - Zadar – Trogir - Dubrovnik

Day 1: Dubrovnik (D)

Upon arrival at Dubrovnik Airport, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Dubrovnik – Trogir – Split (B/D)

Morning sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik, included in UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. You will visit the Rector’s Palace, today used as museum, had several functions between the 14th and 19th century. The rector of the city had his seat in the Rector’s palace. At the same time the palace included the courtroom and jail of the city. The experience will be enriched with the sightseeing of other numerous historical monuments important for Dubrovnik and its history: St. Blazes, Sponza Palace and Orlando Statue and Onofrio’s Fountain. Departure for Split, driving along the Adriatic Coast and the Neretva River Delta. Upon arrival, sightseeing tour of Split and its historical center. In III s A.C. Roman emperor Diocletian decided to spend his last days in the sunny harbor of Asphalatos where he built the palace whose walls still make the part of the City of Split. Guided city tour will include the visit of Diocletian’s palace. His mausoleum converted nowadays into the cathedral, Baptistery, statue of Gregory of Nin. Dinner and overnight in Split.

Day 3: Split – Plitvice – Zagreb (B/D)

After breakfast, the group will continue to Plitvice Lakes National Park on the UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage. Sixteen lakes, each at a different level, are connected in a series of cascading waterfalls. Surrounded by dense wood, Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. You will enjoy the exceptional beauty of the lakes and waterfalls, rich plant and animal life, contrasting colors, forests and the pure mountain air. An inescapable part will be a walk on the wooden promenades to view majestic waters where every turn leads to breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. Continue to Zagreb, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Zagreb (B/D)

Morning city tour of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia situated in the fertile valley of River Sava. With your professional guide you will discover this beautiful city including the fortified Upper Town, city’s historical center, St Mark’s Church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre and the University. Take the opportunity of the free afternoon to stroll down the street still lit by the gas lamps, take pictures of the flower seller at Jelačić Square or make a wish at Stone Gate. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Zagreb – Zadar (B/D)

Morning sightseeing tour of Zadar, including the Roman Forum and St. Donatus Church, a magnificent monument of Romanesque architecture. The tour will also include visit of the Mainland Gate (Kopnena Vrata) to the east of The Old Town, Five-sided Tower and five wells which used to be the water supply for the city, the Port Gate (Lučka Vrata) to the north, visiting the well-known museum Silver and Gold of Zadar. Free time for individual visits. Dinner and overnight in Zadar area.

Day 6: Zadar – Trogir (B/D)

After breakfast, continue to Dalmatian hinterland where the stone houses, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, still preserve the traditional way of life. Unique opportunity to taste the local wine and smoked ham treated the same way as centuries ago. The famous smoked ham from Drniš was served on the British Court. Continuation to Trogir. Ever since antique times only the best artists left their pieces in Tragurion. Visit of the town whose ancient core is under the protection of UNESCO. Walk along the stone paved streets to the Cathedral of Saint Lawrence, whose portal is considered to be the masterpiece of gothic art of Dalmatia. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Trogir – Dubrovnik (B/D)

Morning departure for Dubrovnik, enjoy a drive along the coat adorned by more than thousand islands, with its crystal clear sea, hidden bays and coves. The afternoon is free for individual visits or shopping. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Dubrovnik (B)

After breakfast, the tour ends with transfer to Dubrovnik Airport.

Included: Accommodation in 3* hotels, transfers and meals as per itinerary, local guides for sightseeing tours of Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Zagreb, Tour escort and entrance fees.
