On this ten-day tour which starts and ends in Cairo, you will be introduced to some of Egypt's best Pharaonic sites in Cairo and the Nile Valley, you will enjoy an amazing three nights in a luxury Nile cruise and your time by the Red Sea at Hurghada.
Cairo – Aswan – Nile Cruise – Hurghada – Cairo
Day 1- Saturday: Cairo
Arrive and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 – Sunday: Cairo – Aswan (B)
Today you will drive to Giza on the outskirts of Cairo to visit the three great pyramids of Egypt and the Sphinx. You'll find your local Egyptologist guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Aswan, on arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Day 3 – Monday: Aswan – Nile cruise (B/L/D)
Aswan is a melting pot of African and Middle Eastern cultures. You have some free time this morning to explore, walk along the Corniche on the banks of the river. This afternoon transfer to the Nile Cruise boat before the tour to the beautiful island temple, the Temple of Philae.
Day 4 – Tuesday: Nile Cruise (B/L/D)
You will spend the day sailing down the Nile, Your first stop is at the beautifully situated riverside dual-temple at Kom Ombo, the home of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god, who was worshipped in pre-dynastic times. Continue sailing on to Temple of Edfu, which is also dedicated to the falcon god, Horus.
Day 5 - Wednesday: Nile Cruise (B/L/D)
This morning you will explore the Temple of Horus, Later you will visit the massive temple of Karnak. It was linked to the town of Luxor by a long sphinx lined avenue. In the evening you will take a walking tour of the smaller Luxor Temple, which is in the centre of town and is colourfully lit up by night.
Day 6 - Thursday: Nile Cruise (B/L/D)
Today you will cross the River Nile for an early morning tour of Luxor's West Bank and visit the Valley of the Kings, several Pharaonic tombs, and then explore the temples of Queen Hatchepsut and Medinat Habu, before stopping at the huge Colossi of Memnon.
Day 7- Friday: Hurghada (B/D)
This morning transfer to the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada to enjoy the time by the Red Sea.
Day 8 – Saturday: Hurghada (B/L/D)
Day at leisure.
Day 9 – Sunday: Hurghada – Cairo (B)
This morning drive to Cairo. Late afternoon you will go for a guided walking tour of Cairo and explore the back streets and bazaars in Old Cairo.
Day 10- Saturday: Cairo (B)
Transfer to the airport.
