Day 1: Arrive Kota Kinabalu
Arrive Kota Kinabalu Airport, meet and transfer to your hotel
 
Day 2: Tambuna Rafflesia (B/L)
Take a 1.5 hours ride from Kota Kinabalu to the Rafflesia Information Centre on the ridges of the Crocker Range. Visit the Education Centre and learn about the unique biology of this parasitic flower which is the largest flower in the world. If a Rafflesia is in bloom, we will trek along one of the trails in search of the bloom and buds. Have your lunch at the local restaurant. Then proceed to visit the Mahua Waterfall. Hike for 20 mins on single trek to reach the waterfall. Upon reaching, take a swim at the cool crystal clear water or hike on single trek to explore deeper unto the tertiary jungle for bird watching. Return back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
 
Day 3: Padas White Water Rafting (B/L)
Pick from hotel and leave Kota Kinabalu early in the morning for 1.5 hours overland journey to Beaufort and another 1.5 hours by train to Pangi. After suiting yourself up and a safety briefing by the guide, embark on a 2 hour exhilarating adventure shooting through rapids. In moment of respite, soak in the tranquility of the virgin rainforest followed by sumptuous lunch before we return. Water grade is 3-4. Return to your hotel
 
Day 4: Sandakan - Selingan Turtle Island (B/L/D)
Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Sandakan. Arrive Sandakan Airport, meet and transfer to jetty for 1-hour boat ride to Selingan Island. Free at leisure to explore island, swim and snorkel. After dinner, wait for signal from the Park Ranger before proceeding to watch Green Turtle lay eggs on the beach, transplanting of eggs to hatchery and release of baby turtles to the sea.
 
Day 5: Sandakan - Sepilok Orang Utan - Kinabatangan River Cruise (B/L/D)
Return to Sandakan by boat. Proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. We proceed to watch a video show about the plight of the Orang Utans and the rehabilitation efforts ongoing at the Centre. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden boardwalks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 1000hrs, and then we continue to the newly completed enclosed nursery area for young orang utans. Thereafter visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about conservation of the world’s smallest bear. After lunch, transfer to Sandakan jetty for 2½ hours boat journey to the multi awards winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlife. Take a river cruise in search of wildlife and birds. Enjoy candle light dinner overlooking the riverbank followed by slide presentation and interpretation by naturalist guide.
 
Day 6: Wildlife Cruise (B/L/D)
Take an early morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour along the lodge’s Hornbill Boardwalk with our in-house naturalist. After lunch, join our in house Orang Utan Talk activity. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife.
 
Day 7: Lahad Datu - Tabin Wildlife Reserve (B/L/D)
After breakfast, proceed to Lahad Datu for Tabin Wildlife Reserve on gravel road for about two hours drive. In the afternoon, visit the Lipad mud volcano. Trek to the elevated bare area of the mud volcano that is known to be frequented by wildlife and birds. After dinner, enjoy a presentation on Tabin’s natural wonders, followed by a night safari to look out for nocturnal wildlife and birds. Stay overnight at the Tabin Wildlife Resort
 
Day 8 : Tabin Wildlife Reserve (B/L/D)
Join the early morning bird walk to discover some of Tabin’s rich collection of almost 300 bird species. After breakfast, visit bird watching tower and trek through the lush green jungle to visit Lipad's Waterfall. Take a dip in the natural pool. Explore the surrounding vegetation or just relax. Return to base in the afternoon. In the evening, take a dusk drive to find wildlife and birds within the reserve. After dinner, look out for nocturnal wildlife along the trail nearby the resort.
 
Day 9 : Lahad Datu - Departure (B/L)
After breakfast, free and easy until check out. Transfer to Lahad Datu Airport for late afternoon flight to Kota Kinabalu
