This classic tour introduces you to the main sights of Egypt in a short span of time, you visit the Pyramids & Sphinx, antiquities of the Egyptian museum, romantic Philae Temple, Abu Simbel option, traditional felucca sailing, ancient Valley of the Kings on this program.
Day 1: Cairo
Arrive and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Cairo (B)
Today you will drive to Giza on the outskirts of Cairo to visit the Sphinx and the three great pyramids of Egypt. You'll find your local Egyptologist guide is a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general.
Day 3: Cairo – Luxor (Nile Cruise) (B/L/D)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor. On arrival visit the Luxor's West Bank and explore the Valley of the Kings, several Pharaonic tombs, and then visit the temples of Queen Hatchepsut and Medinat Habu, before stopping at the huge Colossi of Memnon. In the evening, enjoy walking in the smaller Luxor Temple which is right in the middle of town and beautifully lit up at night
Day 4: Luxor – Edfu (Nile Cruise) (B/L/D)
This morning you will tour the temple complex at Karnak, once the religious centre of Thebes and Upper Egypt. Visit the remarkable Hypostyle Hall, which has 134 towering columns, each carved with scenes of gods and Pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions adorn the walls. Afternoon sail to Edfu.
Day 5: Edfu - Aswan (B/L/D)
This morning visit the temple of Edfu before continuing upriver towards Kom Ombo. Sail to Aswan.
Day 6: Aswan (B/L/D)
On arrival visit the island temple complex of Philae. The Philae temple remains one of Egypt's most romantic and picturesque sites having been completely relocated following work on the Dam. The rest of the day is free to explore the colourful souks and markets in the town or watch the sunset over the River Nile.
Day 7: Aswan – Cairo (B)
Transfer to Airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival go for a tour of Cairo with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. The afternoon is free to explore the back streets and bazaars in Old Cairo.
Day 8: Cairo (B)
Transfer to the airport.
