Battambang - Banteay Chhmar Temple
 
Day 1: Phnom Penh - Pursat - Battambang
Drive to Oudong Mountain to see royal tombs on the Royal Fortune Hill. Then proceed to Pursat Province where Klieng Moeung and the floating village of Kampong Leung display glimpses of authentic rural life. In the afternoon, continue on to Battambang.
 
Day 2: Battambang (B)
Transfer to the Bamboo Train Station to enjoy a scenic 8 kms ride through beautiful landscapes and rice paddies to the next station on this unique train. Disembark and visit a village to see handicraft workshops, colonial houses and one NGO. Visit the provincial museum before driving along the picturesque Sangker River to the 11th century Wat Ek Phnom. The day ends with a visit to Phnom Banon which boasts five hilltop sandstone towers and a magnificent view over the plains below.
 
Day 3: Battambang - Banteay Chhmar - Siem Reap (B/L)
Drive to Banteay Mean Chey and 11th century Banteay Chhmar Temple made in sandstone, which boasts of its huge bas-reliefs, which are said to be comparable to those of Bayon and Angkor Wat. Also visit Banteay Torp Temple before reaching Siem Reap.
Private program - can start any day of the week and can be modified or operated in reverse
