Vientiane – Xiengkhuoang – Luang Prabang
 
Day 1: Vientiane
Arrive In Vientiane and transfer to your hotel.
 
Day 2: Vientiane (B)
Today morning enjoy the city tour and visit the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. Visit That Luang Stupa and stop at the imposing Patuxay Monument.
 
Day 3: Vientiane (B)
Today you will visit the Buddha Park. This combination of Buddhist and Hindu statues was created by a mystical monk on parkland close to The Mekong River. On the way, you will stop at the famous Laos / Thai Friendship Bridge. This provides good photo opportunities.
 
Day 4: Vientiane – Xiengkhuoang (B)
This morning, take a short flight to Xiengkhouang. This city was heavily bombed by American forces between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival visit the famous Plain Of Jars. After the visit transfer to your hotel.
 
Day 5: Xiengkhuoang (B)
Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, visit the old capital of Muang Khoun and its nearby villages. The Hmong hill-tribe and the Tai Dam people have colourful customs and history.
 
Day 6: Xiengkhuoang – Luang Prabang (B)
Early morning visit the Central Market of Phonsavanh, where local hill-tribes gather to barter their merchandise. Drive to Luang Prabang, en route visiting the site at Thampra to see Buddha images.
 
Day 7: Luang Prabang (B)
Enjoy city tour and visit the Former Royal Palace (now the National Museum), Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen, Wat Visun. Enjoy the sunset from Mount Phou Si.
 
Day 8: Luang Prabang (B)
Boat trip on the mighty Mekong River to explore Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan. Visit royal temple at Wat Longkhoun and Sackarine Caves. Continue to Pak Ou cave. Return to Luang Prabang en route visiting villages of Ban Xang Hai, Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek.
 
Day 9: Luang Prabang (B)
Participate in the early morning ritual of offering alms to saffron-clad monks with their black Alms-giving bowls. Visit Phosi Market and ethnic villages of Ban Ouay, Ban Ou and Ban Thapene. Continue to beautiful Khuang Si Waterfalls. Return via Ban Phanom, a well-known weaving village and enjoy the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath.
 
Day 10: Luang Prabang (B/L)
Drive to Ban Phong Van, see how rice is grown and experience the life of a farmer. After lunch proceed to Artisans du Mekong, which produces traditional mulberry paper and textiles. Return to Luang Prabang enroute visit Ock Pop Tok - The Living Crafts Centre where you can meet silk weavers, craft artisans.
 
Day 11: Luang Prabang (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
