Luang  Prabang – Phonsavan – Vang Vieng – Vientiane – Pakse – Don Khong
 
Day 1: Luang Prabang
Arrive in Luang Prabang and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon you will go for your half day tour and visit spectacular Wat Xieng Thong, the former Royal Palace, the National Museum, wander and finish with the day with a climb up 328 steps to the top of Mt. Phousi, for panoramic views of Luang Prabang.
 
Day 2: Luang Prabang (B)
Today you will head out of town to visit Pak Ou cave, then do a boat ride on the Mekong River, later drive back to your hotel to relax or explore the city on own.
 
Day 3: Luang Prabang (B)
Today you will visit Kuang Si Waterfall, which is a jaw-dropping waterfall. Before returning to your hotel you will stop at the Sun Bear Reserve, a conservation centre that rescues animals from the wildlife trade. Drive back to the hotel
 
Day 4: Luang Prabang - Phonsovan (B)
Early morning witness a procession of about three hundred young monks walk silently by, collecting sticky rice and other foods in their bronze bowls. After breakfast drive to Xieng Khuoang province. Arrive early in the evening at your hotel.
 
Day 5: Phonsovan (B)
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour ending at lunch. Later, head to Muang Khoun next, the once royal seat of the small kingdom of Xieng Khouang. Rest of the day at leisure.
 
Day 6: Phonsovan – Vang Vieng  (B)
Depart this mysterious and historically rich area on a six-hour drive along picturesque winding roads to Vang Vieng.  You’ll be just in time for sunset, so check in and relax at the views of the sky darkening over the river, surrounded by mountains.
 
Day 7: Vang Vieng  (B)
Enjoy the scenic wonders of Vang Vieng at your leisure on this free day.
 
Day 8: Vang Vieng – Vientiane (B)
Today morning you will drive to Vientiane, upon arrival you will do the city tour of the quietest Asian capital. You will visit Wat Sisaket, Stop at Hor Pha Keo next Emerald Buddha. Before heading to the top for panoramic views of the town. Finish up the day at That Luang, the holiest site in Laos and its national symbol, before returning to your hotel.
 
Day 9: Vientiane – Pakse (B)
Depart the sleepy Vientiane for a transfer to the airport. Fly to Pakse the provincial capital of Champasak. Upon arrival at Pakse, transfer to your hotel and then go for an easy trek through coffee plantations, villages. Later drive back to your hotel.
 
Day 10: Pakse – Don Khong (B)
This morning, travel to the ancient ruins of Wat Phu, a temple complex that pre-dates
Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat by a couple of hundred years. After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to Don Khong Island next, on a 3-hour drive into Si Phan Doan, or 4,000 Islands. Check into your Hotel and rest of the afternoon free.
 
Day 11: Don Khong (B/L)
Today you will go for a Cruise down past the inlets en route to Khone Phapheng, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia. Next, continue on your cruise to visit the neighboring Li Phi Waterfalls, Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant.
 
Day 12: Don Khong - Pakse (B)
Leave the Mekong behind and take your transfer back to Pakse for your flight back home.
 
Note: This is a private tour, departs daily and can be operated in reverse.
