Morning, depart your hotel and proceed to the Grand Old Lady at Canada Hill where the first oil rig in Malaysia was found and it is also the site to view Miri town and beyond. Continue the trip toward the coastal road to see Miri as a town thriving on the petroleum industry. Visit a Taoist Temple, regarded as the largest in South East Asia. Drop by the market place to see the locals selling jungle produce, wild fruits, handicraft and many other things unique to Sarawak. Return to your hotel.

Niah Caves (Duration: 8 hrs)

Morning, depart your hotel for a 2.5 hours drive passing through oil palm plantations, secondary forest, picturesque countryside and Batu Niah - a small inland town. Proceed to the park headquarters, then by boat to cross the Niah River, followed by a 45 minutes’ walk on a raised plank-walk (3km long) which snakes through a lush rainforest to reach the Niah Cave entrance. Explore this famous cave system, archaeological sites and primitive hematite paintings on the walls. Observe the bewildering and dangerous manoeuvres of bird-nest collectors climbing flimsy scaffoldings and wooden poles to reach the dark crevasses of the caves to collect the nest during the harvesting season. After lunch, return to Miri and transfer back to your hotel. (Lunch included)

Brunei Daytrip (Duration: 8 hrs)

Morning, pick up from your hotel in Miri and overland drive (2.5 hrs) to Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei). Stop for Immigration clearance at Sarawak / Brunei Border. Upon arrival in Bandar Seri Begawan, visit the Royal Regalia which houses the coronation & Silver Jubilee Chariot, visit Jame Asr Mosque and Brunei Museum. Take a water taxi ride to Kampung Ayer – the ‘Venice of the East’. The world’s largest water village with 30,000 people living in houses on stilts snaking along the banks of the Brunei River. Photo stop outside of the Sultan’s Royal Palace, Istana Nurul Iman. After tour, overland drive back to Miri. (Lunch included)
Note: Mosque is closed on Thursdays & Fridays. Guests could still visit the Mosque compound but not allowed to enter the Prayer Hall. Thursday is the cleaning of the Prayer Hall day and Friday is the prayer day.
