Drive from Dubrovnik through Trebinje to Nikšic and onto the Piva River canyon to see Piva Lake and Plužine. See the largest Serbian Orthodox church built during the Ottoman reign originally located near the source of the river. Drive up to the village of Trsa where it is possible to arrange a collection of traditional Durmitor dishes to tempt your palate. The spectacular ride of the day continues to Bobotov Kuk, the 2523 m high peak in Durmitor mountain range from where the view spreads to other natural wonders that form Montenegrin mountains and wider, Lovcen above the Adriatic, Kopaonik and Tara, as well as Maglic. The saddle Sedlo at 1907 m squeezed between the two peaks and offers gorgeous views. Arrival to Žabljak and check into hotel

Spend the morning exploring the area of Žabljak, swimming in Crno Lake if the weather permits, visiting the Tara Canyon vantage point at 1300 m or just enjoying local specialties. Later in the day, the road takes you to Djurdjevica Tara Bridge for a photo break of the most spectacular bridge constructed in the early 20th century from where it passes through Mojkovac to Kolašin. Possible detour to Lake Biograd in the national park, whose biggest asset is the fact that it hides one of the few remaining rain forests in Europe. Or to various farms to taste local specialties such as lamb served in milk.

Set the wheels running to the Moraca Canyon and make a stop by the monastery founded in the 13th century. In Podgorica, visit the market and enjoy colourful produce of the day and then continue to Virpazar where it is possible to arrange lunch with specialties from Skadar Lake. The road takes you across Mount Rumija to Stari Bar, a small town just a few kilometres from the new city of Bar, that occupies a rocky slope at the foot of Rumija mountain, protected by nearly vertical, inaccessible cliffs on the east and the south sides. Explore its narrow streets and the fortress that is now part of the open air museum and have a cup of coffee in one of the charming cafes in the street. Hit for the Adriatic were you will find Petrovac, St Stephen’s and Pržno.

After breakfast, climb up to Cetinje and Lovcen and Njeguš Mausoleum. In thesmall village of Njeguši, it is a must to go for their famous cheese and cured ham. From there, the well famed serpentines slope down to Kotor, the medieval fortified town at the bottom of Boka Bay the fjord –like bay composed of four different ones. Short break to explore the city and have a cuppa coffee.
Further along the bay lies Perast, a small town with houses of stone and long maritime tradition. The Church of Our Lady of the Rocks standing on the manmade island bearing the same name hides many wonders. Ride to Herceg Novi and the border crossing Konfin to the villages of Konavle Valley and Dubrovnik. Overnight in 4* hotel.
