This trip showcases the best of two diversified neighbours – Vietnam and Cambodia. This tour takes you the important places of interest in Vietnam and shows you the best in Cambodia – Angkor Wat. A bustling capital city of Hanoi shows you an interesting combination of modern, French colonial and Vietnamese architecture and the famous Old Quarters. Enjoy a cruise on a traditional Junk to see the nature’s gift to Vietnam – UNESCO Heritage site Halong Bay.

Continue to historical city of Hue to the most popular and charming town in Vietnam – Hoi An. Either in town or on the beach, this town will never cease to excite you with its beautiful beach, art galleries, cooking schools, street bazaars in the town centre and numerous tailoring shops who can make a quality dress as per your imagination overnight. The trip takes you to the hustle-bustle of the ‘bike-city’ Saigon – sights, sounds and smells are bound to mesmerize you. Highlight of South Vietnam is its indigenous people living and earning their livelihood from Mekong River. While on Mekong, continue on to Phnom Penh, the capital city with its beautiful palaces and temples before hopping on a short flight to Siem Reap, home to arguably one of the wonders of the world – Angkor Wat and various temple complexes.

Itinerary

Day 1

Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Hanoi (B)

Walking tour of the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. Enjoy a Water Puppet show.

 

Day 3

Hanoi-Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Proceed for 2-day Halong Bay tour on a traditional Junk to discover this World Heritage site, known as the 'land of 3000 islands'. Overnight on junk.

Day 4

Halong-Hanoi-Hue (Brunch/D)

Enjoy the sunrise on your junk. Tea and Coffee are served before you board small bamboo boats to visit Luon Cave and then cruise back to Halong Bay. Transfer back to Hanoi and straight to the railway station to board your overnight train to Hue.

Day 5

Hue (B)

On arrival in Hue, you will be met and transferred to the Hotel. The afternoon, proceed for a sightseeing of Old Imperial City -Visit Imperial Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and Dong Ba Market.   

Day 6

Hue – Hoi An (B)

Excursion to Thien Mu Pagoda and then, continue on to Hoi An en route visiting the Cham Museum and Marble Mountains. Afternoon walking tour of Hoi An visiting Phuc Kien, a Chinese Communal House or Hokkien Temple, ancient merchants’ houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colourful local market.

Day 7

Hoi An (B)

Full day at leisure to explore Hoi An beaches and street markets.

Day 8

Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival start your half day city tour and experience a city which showcases a mix of French colonial architecture, Chinese influences and War Museum.

Day 9

Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of underground bunkers which were used by the guerrilla army during the US War.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Can Tho (B/L)

Drive to Mekong Delta to see agrarian life in vibrant southern Delta. Enjoy a boat ride to the floating markets. Lunch at a local house and see a family run a traditional business.

Day 11

Can Tho (B/L/D)

Take a boat to visit Cai Rang floating market. Cruise through small canals and visit a fruit orchard, Binh Thuy old house and the markets. Cycle through rural Vietnam and relax on the boat.

Day 12

Can Tho – Chau Doc (B/L/D)

Drive to Chau Doc and visit Chau Giang fish farm and Cham weaving village of Tan Chau. Visit Xu Lady and Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple.

Day 13

Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B)

Take a speed boat to Phnom Penh. Visit National Museum, the Silver Pagoda containing the Emerald Buddha statue, the Royal Palace and Phnom Penh’s oldest shrine, Wat Phnom.

Day 14

Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B)

Flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival proceed to the graceful Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre Temples. Also visit the three-tiered temple hill of Pre Rup, Bantey Kdei, Lake of Srah Sran and the impressive Ta Phrohm Temple.

Day 15

Angkor Temples (B)

Explore the ancient city of Angkor visiting Angkor Thom, ruins at Bayon, Baphoun, Royal Palace. Visit the epic Angkor Wat, its extraordinary architecture and bas-reliefs. Enjoy a spectacular sunset from the mountain temple of Phnom Bakheng.

Day 16

Siem Reap (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight.
