Kyoto has an exceptional historical value, with all its shrines, temples and antique buildings. Almost 17 places in Kyoto are included in the UNESCO World Heritage Program. On the streets of this city, you very often spot monks meditating by the river or a Geisha walking past in a kimono. Traditional teahouse experiences are also very important here, whether it is a calming cup of tea on your own or a whole ceremony.

Itinerary

Day 1

Kyoto

Arrive in Kyoto and take a taxi on your own to reach the Hotel.
 

 

Day 2

Kyoto (B/L)

Make your own way to the meeting point at Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit and begin a full-day exploration of Kyoto’s iconic landmarks. Visit the magnificent Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historic significance and beautiful architecture, followed by a visit to the stunning Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion), one of Kyoto’s most celebrated attractions.

Continue to the elegant Kyoto Imperial Palace, the former residence of Japan’s Imperial family. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the spiritual Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, famous for its mesmerizing pathway lined with hundreds of vibrant vermilion torii gates.

The tour continues with a visit to Sanjusangen-do Temple, home to 1,001 statues of Kannon and renowned as the world’s longest wooden structure. Later, explore Kiyomizudera Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kyoto’s most iconic temples, offering breathtaking views of the city.

After completing this enriching cultural experience, make your own way back to your hotel.

Day 3

Kyoto (B)

Make your own way to the meeting point at Kyoto Avanti and join the Nara City Tour. Begin your exploration with a visit to the magnificent Kasuga Taisha Shrine, including a special visit to the Main Sanctuary. Surrounded by a peaceful forest setting, the shrine is renowned for its hundreds of beautiful bronze and stone lanterns, donated by worshippers over many centuries.

Continue to the iconic Todaiji Temple, home to the impressive Great Buddha statue, one of Japan’s most remarkable cultural treasures. Later, enjoy a relaxing stroll through Nara Park, one of Japan’s oldest and most scenic parks, famous for its friendly free-roaming deer and historic surroundings.

After the tour, make your own way back to the hotel.

Kyoto (B)

Please make your own way to reach Kyoto Airport
