Northern Thailand Discovery: From Chiang Rai to Chiang Dao

Uncover the serene beauty and rich heritage of Northern Thailand on this immersive journey. Begin in Chiang Rai, where you'll marvel at striking temples like the White Temple and explore the artistic soul of the north. Venture to the legendary Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge, offering both scenic views and intriguing history. Head south to the cultural capital of Chiang Mai, known for its ancient temples, vibrant night markets, and culinary delights. Then escape into the forested hills of Chiang Dao, a hidden gem of limestone peaks, peaceful villages, and cave shrines. Return to Chiang Mai with a deeper appreciation of the region’s unique blend of tradition, nature, and adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1

Chiang Rai

Arrive in Chiang Rai and transfer to your Hotel.

Day 2

Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Chiang Rai (B/L)

Visit King Mengrai monument, Hill Tribe Museum and Education centre. After lunch, continue to Chiang Saen to visit Wat Phra That Chom Kitti before transfer back to Chiang Rai.

Day 3

Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai (B/L)

Leave in morning to visit Wat Rong Khun. Continue to Chiang Mai and visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep. Continue to take a boat trip on Ping River to reach the Farmer’s House, for a fantastic “Khao Soi” lunch.

Day 4

Chiang Mai – Chiang Dao – Chiang Mai (B/L)

Depart for Chiang Dao. Later, explore the ancient city of Chiang Mai starting with Wat Suan Dok, large bell-shaped chedi. Continue to visit Wat Phra Sing located within the old city wall. Also visit Wat Chedi Luang, historic centre of Chiang Mai, Wat Ched Yod and Wat Chiang Man.

Day 5

Chiang Mai – Bangkok (B)

Today check out from Hotel and transfer to train station for your train to Bangkok or extend your stay in Thailand by choosing a beach extension or add on tours we offer.

This is a private tour, departs daily and can be customised.
