Arrive in Chiang Rai and transfer to your Hotel.

Depart from hotel,  visit King Mengrai Monument and visit Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple) is located in Rong Suea Ten in the district of Rimkok. The interior of the wihan is very beautiful. The entrance is guarded by two spectacular dragon statues. Proceed to visit Hill tribe Museum and Education Center, this museum has been open for more than 18 years. Its objective is to build a stronger relationship between Thailand and minority groups and between Thailand and international community for a better understanding of the way of life of people from 6 hill tribes.

Lunch at the local restaurant.

Drive to the Golden Triangle area on the bank of the Mekong River where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand borders meet. Visit the House of Opium Museum is a museum that tells stories of opium in the Golden Triangle. Through beautiful antiques such as opium harvesting knives, scales, weights, pipes, mats and pillows, these tools represent the beliefs, cultures, traditions and magnificent imagination of their Burmese, Shan, Chinese and tribal inventors in Thailand as well as the history of the region where the three countries meet. Then, enjoy an hour ride on the boat along Mekhong River to visit the riverbank scenery. Proceed drive to Chiang Saen is a charming town on the Mekong River. The Chiang Saen ancient city consists of temple ruins, old city walls and a moat and visit Wat Phra Thad Jom Kiti. Return to hotel.

Check out and depart from hotel visit Wat Rong Khun is a unique temple that stands out through the white color and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun. The white color signifies the purity of the Buddha, while the glass symbolizes the Buddha’s wisdom and the Dhamma, the Buddhist teachings. Wat Rong Khun was designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai visual artist. Eventually there will be nine buildings including an ubosot, a hall to enshrine Buddhist relics, a meditation hall, the monks living quarters and an art gallery and visit cave of art.

Continue to Chiang Mai, on the way stop at Mae Kajan hot spring for a short relax. Arrive at Chiang Mai, take the “long-tail” boat at Wat Chai Monkol boat pier (join boat, depart every hour). Enjoy boat cruise along the Ping River for about 45 minutes to visit the riverbank scenery.

Lunch at The Farmer’s House (Khao Soi).

After lunch, drive up the serpentine road to the magnificently situated Wat Doi Suthep. Perched atop a forested mountain with sweeping views of the city below, this most sacred of Chiang Mai’s temples (3,280 ft.) houses a wealth of Buddha images, murals and Buddhist art. Climb the 306 stepped Naga staircase to reach the temple. Transfer to hotel.

Depart from hotel and drive to the north of city to Chiang Dao for visit Chiang Dao Cave, which penetrate deep into the limestone hills. The caverns contain an assortment of Buddha and hermit images as well as some impressive natural rock formation.

After lunch, visit Wat Jed Yod and Wat Chiang Man, the oldest temple in Chiang Mai town was built in 1296 by King Mengrai of Lanna kingdom. The temple is famous for its Lanna-style chedi supported by rows of elephant shaped buttresses. Continue to Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, “The temple of the Great Stupa” located in the ancient walled part of the city. Then visit to Wat Suan Dok, there are several unique features to this temple that you won't see in just about any other wat around Chiang Mai, or even elsewhere in Thailand. Drive back to hotel.
