Immerse yourself in the essence of Spain for seven days, travelling from Seville in the southwest all the way to Barcelona in the northeast.  Delve deep into the country’s Roman and Moorish heritage, exploring the lands of the ancient kingdoms of Aragon, the Levant and Al-Andalus, and discover the bygone mediaeval mix of Christians, Muslims and Jews that used to coexist here.

Itinerary

Day 1

Madrid – Cordoba – Seville (D)

Join the group at the meeting point, From there, drive through the fields of La Mancha, After a brief stop at Puerto Laplace, cross through the natural border of Despeñaperros and delve into Andalusia, In the afternoon, reach Seville.

Day 2

Seville (B/D)

Enjoy the panoramic tour of Seville and later explore the Santa Cruz quarter. Later visit Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España.

 

Day 3

Seville – Granada (B/D)

Drive to Granada, upon arrival visit the world-famous Generalife Gardens that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the well-known “Tales of the Alhambra” by W. Irving.

Day 4

Granada – Valencia (B)

In the morning drive towards the Mediterranean coast. After passing through Murcia, turn north via Alicante, the second-largest city in the region of Valencia. Once you reach Valencia, you can start discovering one of the main capitals of the Mediterranean coast.

Day 5

Valencia – Barcelona (B)

In the morning, go for a half-day morning tour of Valencia and admire the most prominent buildings in  Valencia. In the early afternoon, drive along the Mediterranean coast to Catalonia. Then reach Barcelona, the homeland of the famous architect Gaudi, a true emblem of Catalan modernism.

Day 6

Barcelona (B)

Morning tour of Barcelona and drive along this breath-taking city’s main avenues and marvel at its impressive modernist buildings. Later, see Montjuic Park with its spectacular views of the city and harbour. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the city at leisure.

 

Day 7

Barcelona – Zaragoza – Madrid (B)

Drive to Zaragoza, the capital city of the region of Aragon. It lies on the banks of the gorgeous Ebro River. Visit the impressive Baroque architecture of the Basilic-Temple of Our Lady Pilar. Continue then to Madrid, where the tour reaches its conclusion.
