Pushkar camel fair is a grand display of Rajasthan's cultural and social spirit - spell bounding folk music and dances, camel races, tug-of-war, camel beauty contests and much more. During the fair, Pushkar turns into a bustling temporary tented town when thousands of tourists, pilgrims, local rural people, traders, and camels are gathered in one place. The grand affair actually centers on the trade mart of camels, horses and bullocks and the holy dip in the sacred waters of Pushkar lake. Day 1, Tue, 25 Oct

Arrival Delhi

Arrive Delhi by flight, meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. 

 

Day 2, Wed, 26 Oct

Delhi (B/ D)

This morning enjoy sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, which includes a visit to Jama Masjid (one of the largest mosques in India), Raj Ghat (cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi). Also, drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk (Silver Street), & drive past President's House, Parliament House and other Government Secretariat Buildings. You may take a short exhilarating Rickshaw ride through the crowded lanes of the Chandni Chowk- the shopping epicenter of Old Delhi.

 

In the afternoon, we proceed on a tour of New Delhi visiting the Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret in India. Then drive through the Embassy area, Connaught Place, the heart and main shopping district of the capital and to Humayun’s Tomb, also known as the forerunner to the Taj Mahal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3, Thu, 27 Oct

Delhi - Agra (B/ D)

In the morning, checkout from the hotel and depart for Agra. Arrive in Agra and check-in at the Hotel.

 

Afternoon visit Taj Mahal, this grand edifice was built by Shahjehan from 1631 to 1653 to enshrine the remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. We walk into the inner chambers of this renowned “Monument to Love” and seek out several vantage points to see the magnificent play of light. It is truly worthy of its status as one of the world wonders. Later visit the sprawling “Agra Fort” on the bank of the Yamuna River. This immense fort and palace was the seat of power for four generations of Mughal emperors. Agra Fort’s architecture is an almost perfect fusion between military might and lavish beauty.

Day 4, Fri, 28 Oct

Agra - Ranthambore (B/ D)

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and depart for Ranthambore, enroute stop at “Fatehpur Sikri”. The mysterious ghost city founded by the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great in the late 16th century and capital of the Mughal Empire from 1581 to 1595.

 

Then we continue our journey towards Ranthambore, on arrival check in at your Hotel.

Morning and afternoon safaris at Ranthambhore National Park.

 

Day 6, Sun, 30 Oct

Ranthambore - Jaipur (B/ D)

Today departs to Jaipur. On arrival transfer to the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure.

 

Jaipur is the capital state of Rajasthan also known as the “Pink City” built by the great warrior and even better astronomer, Raja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727; Jaipur is full of formidable forts, enchanting palaces and lovely temples. The city was completed in eight years. Also this city is a paradise for shoppers; Jaipur offers jewellery, carpets & rugs, textiles and other good deals.

Day 7, Mon, 31 Oct

Jaipur (B/ D)

This morning, visit Amber Fort; including a jeep ride. Perched on a hill 11km from Jaipur and nestling among the Aravali Hills is the historic fort-palace. Set in a picturesque background, the splendid Amber Fort (Jaigarh) was built in 1600 by Raja Man Singh, commander-in-chief of the Mughal army during Akbar’s reign and greatest general of medieval India. There is a timeless appeal to Jaipur’s colourful bazaars where one can shop for Rajasthani handlooms and trinkets.

 

Afternoon set out on a half day city tour visiting Hawa Mahal, the Observatory-Jantar Mantar and City Palace. The Hawa Mahal or “Palace of Winds” was built in 1799 to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch street processions while remaining in a strict state of purdah. Between 1727 and 1734 Maharajah Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed five astronomical observatories in west central India. The observatories or “Jantar Mantars” as they are commonly known, incorporate multiple buildings of unique form, each with a specialized function for astronomical measurement. Conceived and designed by Jai Singh, the City Palace, is a fine blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Chandra Mahal is still the residence of the present royal family.

Day 8, Tue, 01 Nov

Jaipur - Pushkar (B/ L/ D)

Morning drive to Pushkar. After check-in, proceed to Pushkar Fair. Evening enjoy the Rajasthani Cultural show. Stay in your Tented accommodation in Pushkar.

Day 9, Wed, 02 Nov

Pushkar (B/ L/ D)

After breakfast, enjoy your day at the Pushkar fair. Spend the day walking through the traditional decorated fair grounds, viewing and participating in various activities, like folk dance and music, camel races, cattle auctions, village handicraft shops, traditional food eateries and more. This is your time to experience the local lifestyle and mingle with the tribes of the deserts to learn more about life in this part of the world.

Day 10, Thu, 03 Nov

Pushkar - Jodhpur (B/ D)

This morning, drive towards Jodhpur. On arrival check in at your Hotel, later in the afternoon sightseeing tour in Jodhpur includes Meherangarh Fort – one of the most impressive & formidable in the whole of fort-studded Rajasthan is situated on a high natural rock bluff and from which you can look down on the wonderful panorama of the bustling city below, Jaswant Thada – the Royal Cenotaphs.

Day 11, Fri, 04 Nov

Jodhpur - Udaipur (B/ D)

After breakfast drive to Udaipur enroute visiting Ranakpur Temples. Renowned for marvellously carved “Ranakpur Jain temples” in amber stone. It is one of the five holy places of the Jain community. 

 

On arrival at Udaipur, check-in at the hotel and afternoon at leisure to explore this beautiful garden city on your own.

Day 12, Sat, 05 Nov

Udaipur (B/ D)

In the morning, proceed on a city tour of Udaipur visiting city Palace, Jagdish Mandir and Sahelion ki Bari. A fusion of Medieval European and Chinese architecture “City Palace” which was built by Maharaja Udai Singh. This marble monument is situated on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola. Numerous balconies, towers and cupolas of the palace provide a marvellous view of the lake and the city below. Maharana Jagat Singh I built the “Jagdish temple”, dedicated to Lord Vishnu in 1651. It houses an image of Lord Vishnu in black stone, along with a brass image of Garuda, his carrier. Covering the exterior and the plinth are base relief of alligators, elephants, horsemen and celestial musicians rising in rows. It is the largest temple in Udaipur. Also visit “Sahelion ki Bari”, the garden of maidens was built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the mid-18th century.

 

Afternoon at leisure or for an optional boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Day 13, Sun, 06 Nov

Udaipur - Delhi (B/ D)

In time transfer to Udaipur airport to connect flight to Delhi. Upon arrival met and transferred to your Hotel. Rest of the day free for your own activities.

Day 14, Mon, 07 Nov

Depart Delhi (B)

Morning in time pick up from hotel and transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey. Tour & our services end.
