Rome – Orvieto – Montepulciano – Siena – Bologna – Mestre – Venezia – Verona – Firenze – Assisi – Rome

Spend six days exploring Italy's most renowned and iconic locations. The first half of the tour takes you to the art and culture hubs of Rome, Siena and Bologna, as well as to many other important cities in between. Then spend the second half of the trip marvelling at the relaxing beauty of Firenze and Assisi.

Itinerary

Day 1

Monday: Rome - Orvieto - Montepulciano – Siena Area (D)

Drive to Orvieto, a small city in Umbria perched on a tuff cliff. Continue to Montepulciano to taste the local Vino Nobile, one of the oldest and most valuable wines of Tuscany.

Day 2

Tuesday: Siena Area - Siena - Bologna – Mestre (B/D)

Drive to Mestre. Enroute visit the historic centre of Siena, a medieval city built around Piazza del Campo, continue to Bologna and visit the symbols of the city, the imposing Piazza Maggiore and the Asinelli and Garisenda towers. Arrival in Mestre.

Day 3

Wednesday: Mestre - Venice – Mestre (B)

Transfer to the Island of Venice, a magical city, unique in its kind. Guided tour of the historic centre passing through Piazza San Marco, the heart of the city, with its extraordinary buildings (Basilica di San Marco, Palazzo Du− cale, Torre dell’Orologio) and for the Bridge of Sighs. Departure by boat to Murano to visit a famous glass factory and admire the glass processing.

Day 4

Thursday: Venice Mestre - Verona – Florence

Depart for Verona, the romantic city famous for Romeo and Juliet’s love story. Later drive to Florence. Visit the historic centre of the city, Piazza del Duomo, the Santa− Maria−del− Fiore’s Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria (Signoria Square) and Ponte Vecchio.

Day 5

Friday: Florence (B/D)

Free day to explore Florence on own. Florence, also called the “Cradle of Renaissance”, one of the most famous cities in the world, with its unique artistic and cultural centre.

Day 6

Saturday: Florence - Assisi – Rome (B)

Depart for a half-day trip of Assisi. Walkthrough the alleys of the medieval city, known for being the place where St. Francis and St. Clare lived, two important figures of the Italian religious history.

Continuation to Rome and arrival at the city centre for Drop off.

Includes: Accommodation for 5 nights including meals as mentioned in the program. Group transfers and sightseeing as indicated with English speaking guides, entrance fees.
