Start your day with a visit to the Arashiyama Bamboo Groove, a natural bamboo forest in Arashiyama. Visit Kinkakuji. officially named Rokuon-ji, is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto. Afternoon enjoy the Tea Ceremony. Tea has been drunk in Japan for over 1,000 years, but it was only around the 16th century that the practice took on the highly ritualized form by which it is known today. Continue to visit Gion, Geisha district with hostesses in colorful kimonos. Visit Kennin-ji Temple, known for its Zen Garden and Yasaka Shrine.

Morning short train ride to Nara. Visit Todaiji Temple, the world’s largest wooden building consisting ofworld’s largest bronze Buddha statue enveloped in a golden halo. Continue to visit Kasuga Taisha. Before returning to Kyoto, stroll through Nara Park, one of the oldest parks in Japan. Return to Kyoto and take a halt at the impressive Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vermilions torii gates, that line the approach to Mt. Inari.
